Applications

Surface preparation

The maximum performance of Tectyl 300G Clear E can be achieved only when the metal surface to be protected are clean, dry and free of rust, oil and mill scale. Valvoline recommends that the metal substrate temperature be 10-35 °C at the time of product application.

Application

Tectyl 300G Clear E is formulated to be used as supplied. Ensure uniform consistency prior to use. Continued stirring is generally not required. If the product thickens due to cold storage or loss of water and coalescing during use, contact Valvoline. Do not thin Tectyl 300G Clear E. Incorrect thinning will affect film build, dry time and product performance. Tectyl 300G Clear E can be airless spray or dip applied.

Removal

Tectyl 300G Clear E is not intended for removal. In the wet phase Tectyl 300G Clear E in the wet phase can be removed with water or Tectyl Biocleaner. If dried and cured the film cannot be removed.
