Applications
Surface preparation
The maximum performance of Tectyl 4D750 can be achieved only when the metal surfaces to be protected are clean, dry and free of rust, oil and mill scale. Valvoline recommends a substrate temperature of 10-35 °C at the time of product application
Application
Tectyl 4D750 is formulated to be used as supplied. Do not thin Tectyl 4D750. Valvoline recommends that the ambient and product temperature be 10-35 °C at the time of product application. Do not thin
Tectyl 4D750. Tectyl 4D750 can be applied by low pressure air spray application. Details on application can be found in the application chart.
As Tectyl 4D750 is a chemical drying product, care should be taken to avoid prolonged contact of the product in the container with air (oxygen) as much as possible. During use this can be achieved by binding the plastic inner liner around the suction tube with a plastic binder. If not in use, keep the container tightly closed.
Removal
Tectyl 4D750 can be removed in the wet phase with Tectyl Biocleaner, Valvoline 150 or lowpressure steam. If dried and cured, the film of Tectyl 4D750 can be removed with Valvoline 150 or Tectyl Biocleaner.
