Brun XL is a thixotropic, light brown oil- and wax-based rust protection product containing highly effective corrosion inhibitors.

Applications

Brun XL is developed for the long-term corrosion protection of steel and is ideal for protecting steel components during storage and transportation. When used as a temporary transport coating, the product can be removed using a petroleum-based solvent, kerosene or an alkaline cleaning agent.

Application instructions

Ensure all components are clean, dry and free from dirt and other contaminants before application. Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C. Shake or stir the product thoroughly before use.

Apply using a high-quality brush or roller suitable for oil-based products, or with an air-assisted airless (air-mix) or airless spray system.

If treated components are stored or transported outdoors within the first 24 hours after application, they should be protected with plastic sheeting or similar covering if there is a risk of rain.
