Product testing and quality assurance

Documented quality – tested under extreme conditions

At LHG Group, quality and documentation go hand in hand. All our rust and corrosion protection products are developed and tested in accordance with recognised international standards, including SIS and ISO standards. This ensures documented performance and consistent quality that meets the high demands of the industry.

To maintain these high standards, LHG Group operates its own laboratory equipped with advanced testing facilities, where our rust and corrosion protection products are continuously tested and quality assured. Here, we verify that our products consistently meet the specifications and performance requirements for which they were developed.

Salt spray testing
– When performance needs to be proven

Salt spray testing is a key part of our quality assurance process. In our salt spray test chamber, products are exposed to an extremely corrosive environment to evaluate their resistance to corrosion. The accelerated test simulates up to two years of exposure to rain, humidity and road salt in just 80 hours.

The results provide valuable documentation of product performance and help ensure that our customers receive rust and corrosion protection products of consistently high quality – every time.

Document the durability of your products

LHG Group also offers corrosion testing of components, assemblies and steel grades for companies that require documented evidence of their products' resistance to rust and corrosion. Our testing services provide a reliable basis for product development, surface treatment selection and quality assurance of existing solutions.

All testing is carried out in LHG Group's in-house laboratory using an Erichsen Salt Spray Test Chamber Model 606, where test specimens are exposed to an accelerated corrosive environment. By simulating years of exposure to moisture, salt and changing climatic conditions in a relatively short period, we generate valuable data on the durability and protective performance of both materials and corrosion protection products.

All test results are documented in accordance with recognised testing methods and can be used for product development, quality assurance and technical documentation for customers and business partners.

Corrosion creep is measured in accordance with SIS Standard SS 186023, ensuring consistent and comparable test results based on internationally recognised standards.

Corrosion testing can be used for:

✔ Documentation of rust and corrosion protection products

✔ Comparison of different surface treatments

✔ Testing of steel grades and metal components

✔ Product development and quality assurance

✔ Technical documentation for customers and regulatory authorities
